Lesson Agenda:
1. Isometric
2. 15 min to complete lab
3. Study guides distributed
4. Jeopardy review
5. Friday Speech
How we will learn it:
Explicit Instruction: Share definition of Isometric after students derive personal definition > Distribute study guides
Guided Practice: Lead students through Isometric examples and non-examples, alternate definitions > Lead students through Jeopardy review of major concepts.
Independent Practice: Students complete/submitModified Frayer > Students complete Mineral ID Lab in small groups
Formative Assessment (How we will know we learned it?): Labs collected and graded, observation
Relevance/Closure (How will we use it?): Resources, stewardship, chem prep
Materials/Resources: rock samples, mineral samples, streak plate, nail, penny, forceps, magnifying glass, jeopardy reviewstudy guides
