EARTH SCIENCE - METEOROLOGY

The study of the meteorology can give students a better understanding of the forces that effect our daily existence. From rainy day activities to tropical storm watches and "trying to reason with hurricane season" Florida's unique weather patterns have a tremendous impact on our everyday lives.

While developing an understanding of the complex relationships that drive weather patterns and establish climate we expect to reinforce the value of a historical understanding of climate change and to connect the current discussion of our present trends.

Please utilize the images at the top of this page or the text menu at the bottom of each page to navigate the meteorology section. On each page you will find links to specific class-room instructional materials, ideas for further research and web sites related to that specific topic. Students are encouraged to use class-room instruction and the resources presented here as a starting point for further study. Mr Mason will be happy to walk you through the process if there is a particular topic of interest.
