Essential Question/s: What are the earth's four spheres, why are they important and how do they interact?
Lesson Agenda:

1. FCAT Slam: Biosphere
2. Introduction to the four spheres
3. Short video: HoloGlobe
4. Share text reference and sample illustrations
5. Student activity: illustrate the four spheres
5. Collect illustrations/drawings

How we will learn it:
Explicit Instruction: Define FCAT Slam > Introduce: Geosphere, Biosphere, Hydrosphere & Atmosphere > Share relationships
Guided Practice: Lead discussion toward completion of FCAT Slam > Circulate among students to assist with illustrations
Independent Practice: Students complete FCAT Slam independently > Students read pg. 33 > Students create and complete illustrations independently
Formative Assessment (How we will know we learned it?): Collect and review illustrations
Relevance/Closure (How will we use it?): Sustainability and the quality of life
Materials/Resources: Laptop, projector, textbook, colored pencils, white paper for illustrations
