EARTH SCIENCE- GEOLOGY

The study of the physical earth can be a very rewarding experience. By developing an understanding of the tremendous forces at work on earth one gains a perspective of the uniqueness of our planet, it's geologic history and an awareness of the cyclic nature of the forces that continually reshape it.

Throughout this section we will emphasize emphasize Florida's unique geology and it's impact on our every day lives, economy, recreation, industry and water supply. Class-room objectives are directly linked to appropriate Sunshine State Standards and will be tested on the F.C.A.T.

Please utilize the images at the top of this page or the text menu at the bottom of each page to navigate the geology section. On each page you will find links to specific class-room instructional materials, ideas for further research and web sites related to that specific topic.
