Students are encouraged to do further research on topics appropriate to class either on-line, in the field or at the local public library. Minor reports may be submitted on a weekly basis for extra credit. Major reports/projects require the instructors approval during the research phase.

Examples of minor reports include: a review of appropriate television programming, a review of a posted news or magazine article, outlining an appropriate web site etc.

Examples of major reports/projects include: research of specific concept beyond the scope of our class, start a recycling program within your community, document community service hours devoted to the environment, create a web display page, class presentations etc.
