Home Category Blog Welcome To Lakewood High School Earth Science

Welcome to MrMason.com, dedicated to serving the Lakewood High School earth science community. With this web site we expect to improve communication, increase exposure, expand student opportunities and increase student achievement.

Earth science combines the studies of: geology, oceanography, meteorology, astronomy and ecology. While we work to increase student understanding of the essential concepts in each field of study we strive to instill an appreciation for the beauty, complexity and interdependence of the systems that drive our planet, climate, oceans and atmosphere.

With each section we will pay particular attention to Florida's unique systems, their relevance to students and dependence on good stewardship. We will also be focusing on the science benchmarks from the Sunshine State Standards that relate to our class as student mastery of these is essential to their success.

For students of Mr. Mason this website will be your connection to class from home or your local library. Please take a few minutes, if this is your first visit, to check out the different sections of the site. A brief description of the menu items can be found in the slider above for your convenience.

NEWS FLASH: I hope everyone is enjoying their well deserved break. Have a great holiday!

Better not take a dog on the space shuttle, because if he sticks his head out when you're coming home his face might burn up.
