I'm happy to say that I can officially call myself a Lakewood Spartan. I interviewed last Thursday, got the call from the county last night and confirmed everything today.

My friends and family have known for quite some time that I've wanted to teach at Lakewood as I lived in the community for over a decade and my younger children go to school nearby. I agonized over the decision for a few days but in the end it seemed the right thing to do right now and the opportunity was just too much to pass up.

In addition to our content area goals we expect the blogs to support and reinforce overall development in reading, writing and mathematics by encouraging students to incorporate and coordinate their personal learning goals while writhing about their experiences.

Obtaining your blog is as simple as registering, after submitting your media release form,  but please be reminded that this service is afforded to LHS students for academic purposes only. There are appropriate venues for other interests but this just isn't one of them.
